Retaining Walls in Plain City, OH » Paradise in the Suburbs

$75,000 Budget

Growing the existing patio footprint by two-fold, this backyard now offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy the various features it contains. The roughly 990 square foot space is home to a spillway waterfall, gas fire pit, hot tub, and bar top seating.

A combination of basalt and burnt clay Copthorne pavers are used to outline the patio and the intricate detail at its center. Beacon Hill pavers span across the space, leaving an approximate 14 by 14 square foot area where a faux rug was installed using Mattoni sable pavers laid in a double herringbone pattern.

Where once stood a small water fountain now stands a modern spillway waterfall cascading down into a buried basin. For ease of access the homeowners decided to conceal the grill with a bar top rather than having it built in. Upon entering the backyard, you are met with this cozy fire pit and vibrant plant life. Natural stone pavers were wrapped around the side of the house and placed around patio to act as exit areas to different parts of the yard.
