Retaining Walls in Dublin, Ohio » Restful Patio Space

2021

$55,000 Budget

This project started by removing an old deck that took up the same footprint as the new patio. A combination of Beacon Hill and charcoal Holland Premier pavers were installed spanning a total of 570 square feet. Hickory gray steppers were added both at the entrance of the patio and to provide access to the homes’ electrical boxes.

A curved seating wall built using Brussels Block River Blend pavers adds architectural interest and provides enough space for a small 4-person dining set beside the grill. At the far side, a 14 x 14 Hampton pavilion stands, providing ample shade coverage. The pavilion features built in electrical outlets as well as overhead lighting and a ceiling fan. Arborvitaes along one side provide some privacy from neighbors and hydrangeas and the Japanese Maple on the other add interest to the space. The homeowner was looking for something simple, functional, and durable. This design provides a space to invite family and friends or sit in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book.
