OGIA Competition Winner for Residential Installation $50,000-$250,000

$20,000 Annual Estate Maintenance Budget

The first project at this residence was the driveway renovation that was completed with the previous homeowners. This included installing pavers for the main drive and walkways leading the front and back of the home.

After providing ongoing estate maintenance services to the new homeowners for several years, we had the opportunity to renovate the original brick pool surround with a modern gray natural stone paver. In addition to replacing the old, we expanded the area to provide 7’ of additional space for lounging chairs, equating to total of 1600 square feet.

The pool area displays the preceding Oakfield contemporary stone walls and outcroppings alongside the newly updated modern natural stone pool surround in large format running bond. A transitional area from the decking down the stair walkway provides additional elevated lounging space. Currently housing a day bed, the 182 square foot area was updated with the same Beacon Hill pavers, making this renovation complete.

From the pool we step into a more natural environment with flagstone walkways, river cobble dry creek bed, and a 7-ton glacial erratic boulder discovered during neighboring golf course renovations. The walkways were added to provide access from the front to back of the home. Hickory gray steppers were also installed near the pool area.

This landscape design stands out amongst the contemporary style of walkway, mature growth of the surrounding plants and dry creek bed. Greenery provided by existing and newly installed plants give the homeowners the resort feel they desired. Amongst the newly installed plants are hydrangeas, bumbleblue Salvia, and dogwood shrubbery.
